The special stamp of the year 2009, published by the Silent-Night-Society, shows the Arnsdorf Grammar School, where Franz Xaver Gruber taught from 1807 to 1829. It was there, where on December 24th, 1818 he must have composed the carol. ”Silent-Night.“ He used a poem which, two years earlier, Joseph Mohr had written in Mariapfarr in the Lungau.

The motive of the special stamp for the Christmas post office in the Silent-Night-area is dedicated Leopold Kohr on his 100th birthday. DDr. Leopold Kohr (October 5th, 1909 – February 2nd, 1994), University professor, philosopher and political economist and famous member of the Oberndorf community was an Alternative Nobel Prize laureate and mentor of his time.
