This black and white photo shows a view of the old boatmen’s settlement on the banks of the Salzachknie (a loop formed by the river Salzach). By comparing the size of the water tower and the church of St. Nicola, a clear idea can be gained of the size of the old boatmen’s church. On the opposite bank in Laufen the Schopperstadl (boatyard) can be seen.
